SOFTWARE ENGINEER - CO OR VA - TS/SCI WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

Software Engineer needed for a contract-to-hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Cahntilly, Virginia or Colorado Springs, Colorado. Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance is required! Responsibilities * The Software engineer will perform the development and integration via industry best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system. * The Software Engineer will provide mission application and framework development support. * The Software Engineer participates in a development team that uses modern DevSecOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure. * The Senior Software Engineer will help maintain and develop new capabilities to the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed. * The ideal candidate will have the technical talent and desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies. * The ideal candidate will provide on-the-job mentoring to junior engineers as needed. Qualifications * TS//SCI with consent to CI Poly * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. * Experience with Java, JEE object oriented programming * Experience with the Vue.js framework * Experience with Microservices * Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift * Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud * Experience with Agile Software Development Process and Methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban) * Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to detail complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Spring Boot framework * Experience with C++, or Python programming languages * Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) * Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML * Experience with unit testing * Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Docker, Bitbucket, and Jenkins * Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations. * Knowledge of REST APIs In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate range for this role is $55.00 to $78.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
