CONTRACT SPECIALIST Summary: Develops, coordinates, and administers contracts. Negotiates, extends, and re-negotiates contracts, as appropriate. Serves as a primary point of contact with contractors, monitors existing contracts for compliance. Duties/Responsibilities: • Negotiates, prepares, and administers contractual arrangements and procurement proposals. • Evaluates or monitors contractor performance to determine if amendments, modifications, or extensions of contracts are needed and compliant to contractual obligations. • Analyzes, approves, or rejects contractors’ requests for deviations from contract specifications and deliverables. • Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices and reviews and interprets contracts provisions to achieve cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible. • Serves as a primary contact with contracting representatives to ensure compliance with contract specifications and resolutions of problems and issues, if arise. • Arbitrates claims or complaints occurring in performance of contracts. • Continually monitors and evaluates contractors’ performance against contract specifications and recommends appropriate remedial action, as required. Experience/Years of Relevant Experience: • Required Experience: 4+ years. • Knowledge of contract documents and specifications, specifically government contracting • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, or projections. • Knowledge of costing and pricing methodology • Knowledge of system Unanet preferable. • Purchase Orders to 3rd Parties. • Little knowledge of Account Payable • Skill in negotiation and establishment of contractual arrangements for services • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially SharePoint and Teams. • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
