The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

1. RTW and Disability Management

Monitors ill/injured employees for return to work and communicating with appropriate parties while preserving medical confidentiality. Reviews restrictions for potential accommodation, assist supervisors and H.R. with medical issues, and works with community healthcare providers or government health systems to facilitate return to work by understanding job requirements. (40%)

2. Worker Health and Safety

Performs or facilitates access to required or recommended medical surveillance testing according to protocols and ensures appropriate follow-up of results. Recognize workplace hazards (physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial) and potential health effects. Implement disease prevention and control standard work. (20%)

3. Health and Wellness

Provides health and wellness education and materials to individual employees with health concerns or needs. Understands local prevalent illnesses. Refers to Employee Assistance, local healthcare providers, or company Occupational Medicine physician as indicated. Administers appropriate immunizations. (20%)

4. Clinical Services

Assesses and evaluates employee illness and injury, providing direct care and/or referring to community healthcare provider, using established protocols and templates. (10%)

5. Communication

Communicates appropriate work-related illness and injury information to the EHS professional for incident log maintenance and incident investigation and notifies appropriate parties or government agencies of the incident when required. Maintains employee medical files and preserves confidentiality.

  • Perform health assessments and monitor employee well-being to ensure compliance with safety and medical standards.
  • Execute preventive and corrective health programs to minimize workplace risks and promote employee wellness.
  • Support production teams during medical emergencies by providing timely and effective care.
  • Coordinate training sessions, accident prevention and health campaigns for all staff to decrease absenteeism.
  • Prepare accurate health reports and incident statistics to inform management and drive continuous improvement.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing and valid license to operate in Mexico. (Completed and verified prior to start) .
  • Overall, candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing.
  • Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification.

In addition to the above requirements the following are also required:

  • CAHOC Certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and programs.
