The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Supply Chain Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Manages subordinates with clearly defined roles within one functional discipline, such as production planning and packaging management. Determines priorities and timetables, assigns resources/tasks, and provides performance feedback, with consultation from next level management.

  • Initiates actions to lead projects, beginning to link project steps to business strategies. Projects are usually short-term with specific results expected, and occasionally broadly defined results. Ensures project objectives and deadlines are met.

  • Handles non-routine and difficult inquiries. Adapts differing techniques and methods to develop solutions for a variety of complex issues. Applies analytical skills for analysis of data to make difficult decisions for the business.

  • Has a direct impact on the team/work group, providing leadership. Decisions may impact the operational effectiveness of multiple work groups or teams in the department, next higher organizational tier, and/or related activities within the direct functional area.

  • Resolves issues and conflicts related to direct reports.

  • Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with Solventum’s values and ethical standards.

  • Work tasks are likely to encompass concepts within multiple disciplines/practices which may include more than one department/location. Working tasks might include:

  • Communicates with other departments and management to resolve problems and expedite work.

  • Determines appropriate inventory for raw materials and finished products for assigned area.

  • Ensures Supply Chain team has the right data and tools to make the best decisions for the business and customer.

  • Strong leadership with Solventum vendors ensuring on time delivery, conversely limited early PO shipments.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher and minimum of (4) four years of related experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

OR

High school diploma/GED and (8) eight years of related experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Prior leadership/supervisor responsibilities

  • Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain and manufacturing theories and practices as production planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory/materials control, import/export etc.

  • Knowledge of assigned area of responsibility, general Solventum structure, organization, and business.

  • Knowledge of computer programs and corporate systems relevant to the assigned area of responsibility is normally required.

  • SAP experience

  • Advanced excel, Power BI and/or data analytics experience.

  • APICS certification or willingness to obtain.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $106,331 - $129,960, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
