SDL offers competitive salaries and fantastic benefits, including: * Generous paid leisure and sick leave, ensuring you never miss a special event * A 14.2% employer retirement contribution into a 401(a) account - no matching required! * Favorable company locations with average commute times of less than 15 minutes * Utah State University undergraduate tuition discounts of 50%, full reimbursement for graduate tuition, and free course audits for employees and dependents meeting eligibility requirements * High-quality, low-cost health, dental, and life insurance * A great, highly educated team that works together to solve some of the most fascinating problems on (and off) our planet * We are a growing company that maintains a family feel and high retention rate with over 90% job satisfaction * Relocation assistant available for most positions Tasks include, but are not limited to: * Accomplishes opening and closing procedures for the construction site as directed by the Site Security Manager and Site Security Coordinator (SSC) * Provides surveillance and monitors the activities of all personnel on the secure project site at all times * Identifies and documents anomalies and variances in construction work performed in accordance with the approved construction plans and government requirements * Per the Construction Security Plan (CSP), performs inspections on all construction materials, packages, boxes, crates, tools, and vehicles entering the construction site, searching for prohibited items or anomalies * Identifies anomalies and variances in finished construction work against the official project construction plans * Generates daily logs of construction activities and incident reports Required Education, Experience, and Skills: * Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active U.S. government secret security clearance (Top Secret (TS) clearance is preferred) * High school diploma or GED equivalent * General understanding of industrial security, law enforcement, and/or national security * General knowledge of blueprints and other building plans * General understanding of construction practices * Ability to work independently to identify, assess & report unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements * Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clear and cogent presentation of complex information * Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions * Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a multi-task, dynamic environment * Demonstrate attention to detail in a large, complex environment Physical Requirements: * This position may require lifting (up to 20 lbs.), standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday. Candidates must have the physical ability to perform a variety of functions. * The ability to walk across uneven surfaces of a construction site, frequently go up and down stairs, and walk long distances is required.
