Job ID: 21531 Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) Information Systems Group is seeking an Information Systems Engineer to ensure the successful program execution for an Air Force Research Laboratory customer. You must have experience with cloud-based services (AWS or Azure) . Job listing skills are AWS centric, but equivalent Azure experience is acceptable. You must be detail-oriented with good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. It is critical to be able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment, be self-motivated, reliable and execute tasks independently. Work Location: Ogden, Utah Required Qualifications: * Must be a U.S. citizen * Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance * At least 5 years' experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in Cloud infrastructure * Experience collaborating with project managers to understand program requirements and develop effective solutions Responsibilities & Duties: * Plan, design, and integrate cloud-based infrastructure and services * Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure * Perform system engineering/administration tasks such as system hardening, patching, vulnerability scanning * Manage cloud environments in accordance with customers' security guidelines * Deploy and debug cloud initiatives as needed, following best practices throughout the development lifecycle * Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required * Employ proactive problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues before they escalate * Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud networks Preferred Skills and Experience: * AWS certification preferred; equivalent Azure certifications accepted * Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Python's Boto, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for provisioning and managing cloud resources * Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull request workflows * Knowledge of Software Development and Develops design principles and CI/CD in on-premises, hybrid-cloud, and pure cloud architectures * Demonstrates a clear understanding of security principles by implementing security principles that support descopes platforms, pipelines, and supporting infrastructure. * Experience working with OpenStack, Rackspace, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm charts * Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Services * Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline About Space Dynamics Laboratory: Space Dynamics Lab (SDL) is a nonprofit University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) owned by Utah State University.
