Field Technician (Mechanical) Salary: $34/hr. Location: Huntsville, AL(fully on-site) Industry: Government/Defense Employment Type: Long term contract with potential for permanent employment Clearance: Ability to obtain, active secret preferred Qualifications: * HS Diploma
* 5+ years of related experience required.
* Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting skills on vehicles and test equipment.
* Experience with gasoline and diesel engines.
* Desired: Familiar with Redstone Arsenal, AL operations.
Responsibilities: * Performs test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, propulsion, structural, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems located at field locations away from primary company operations.
* Verifies and corrects such things as welds, Sheetmetal assemblies, controls, alignment of equipment.
* Frequent support to the Redstone Arsenal STORM customer and other user communities as a Field Technician.
* MLRS Launcher responsibilities will be maintaining/troubleshooting M270, M270A1, and HIMARS vehicles.
* Working on Military vehicles, MLRS, Bradley, HUMVEE, HEMITT, etc.
* Render technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems.
* Provide an analysis of maintenance program and recommendations that may be beneficial
* Auto repair or diesel technician or mechanic working on Diesel vehicles and engines.
* Perform operation, maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment used in material handling and ordnance testing, including systems related to warehouse vehicles (forklifts, tugs, small trailers, etc.).
* Perform preventive maintenance checks on safety equipment. EOE/ADA #clearance #LI-SRG9
