CERTIFIED MEDICATION TECHNICIAN

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team. As a Certified Medication Technician, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing quality care will contribute to the overall well-being of our patients. Responsibilities: - Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Follow proper medication administration procedures and protocols - Document medication administration accurately and timely - Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects - Assist with other patient care tasks as needed, such as taking vital signs and providing personal care - Maintain a clean and organized medication cart or area - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members - Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures Experience: - Previous experience in senior care or patient care preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation - Knowledge of common medications and their uses - Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic) - Ability to accurately measure vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, pulse) - Experience with catheter care is a plus - Understanding of home care or medical office practices is beneficial We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career advancement.
