Job for Cath Lab Tech at St Joseph Medical Center
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Cath Lab has 2 suites used for Cath Lab, 1 for vascular
Average of 22 total cases per day between Cath Lab and EP
Job Duties include circulating, prep and recovery experience preferred
Cath Lab Techs: Circulating, prep and recovery experience preferred
EMR/Equipment used: EPIC, MacLab, GE Imaging
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Minimum of 2 years experience
Cardiologist hours/on call: On Call when not in house
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided
Shifts & Scheduling: 0600 - 1430 and call time
Floating Requirements: May take a case over to the EP lab, focusing on a one team approach
Unit/Department specific orientation: 1 Week

Job Requirements

RN: BLS, ACLS
Techs- RCIS, RT or RCES
Common diagnoses/Types of patients include Right and left heart cath with or without intervention
Knowledge of IABP & Impella insertion required
Techs must also have experience in Cath lab and EP

Schedule Information

Shifts & Scheduling: 0600 - 1430 and call time
Weeknight/Call Requirement: Call time starts after 1730. Average of 8 days a month
Weekend/Call Requirement: 1 weekend per 4 week schedule. Friday saturday sunday.
Holiday/Call Requirement: Covered by call time
Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement? Yes - see above
What is call response time? 30 minutes

ACLS, ARRT, BLS, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Verification required
