Job Overview:

State Avenue Dental Office, a renowned provider of high-quality dental care, seeks a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate billing processes, insurance claim submissions, and timely collections for our dental services. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about optimizing the revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Claim Creation & Submission: Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims for quick and maximum reimbursement.

Claim Tracking: Monitor and follow up on insurance claim statuses, including appeals and corrections for rejected or denied claims.

Collaboration with Clinics: Work closely with dental clinics to gather required documentation and supporting information for claim submissions.

Pattern Identification: Identify and address trends in denials or rejections and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.

Payment Posting & Collections: Accurately post payments and manage collections to ensure all outstanding payments are followed up in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a dental biller, collector, or eligibility verifier.

Solid understanding of the U.S. Dental Revenue Cycle.

Knowledge of dental insurance policy types, including PPO, HMO.

Familiarity with Dental Practice Management software, Dental Imaging software, and

clearinghouse interfaces.

Proficiency in dental anatomy and general dentistry procedures.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and accuracy in data entry.

Experience in contract and rate negotiation to optimize insurance reimbursements and fee schedules.

Ability to handle confidential patient and financial information with discretion.

Willing to work in person.
