Under the general direction of the Network Services Manager, the Senior Network Workstation Analyst is responsible for creating, managing, troubleshooting and/or maintaining multiple network infrastructure devices, servers, systems, tools, and all associated processes. The Senior Network Workstation Analyst is also expected to work independently with other Information Technology and State Board of Administration (SBA) staff to correctly size new systems, servers and components based on their known functional requirements.
25% - Manage the Server Patch Management System and related functions

  • Create documented procedures for installing and configuring server scanning and patching on a regular basis
  • Create documented procedures for patching servers on an on-demand basis to address specific vulnerabilities
  • Assist server owners with setting up their server patching schedules
  • Create process for easily verifying server patch status

20% - Provides Microsoft M365/Azure management and support

  • Assists with managing the deployment, usage, and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Configure and customize M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Office 365 applications
  • Assist and guide in implementing security and compliance features like data loss prevention (DLP), conditional access, Defender, and information protection policies
  • Manages users and groups, assigns administrative roles, and configures security and privacy settings
  • Regularly reviews system health alerts and reports to enhance the efficiency of the Office 365 environment and monitor the health and performance of M365 services using built-in and third-party tools

15% - Performs Standard Network Support Duties

  • Maintains up-to-date device information in CMDB
  • Maintains up-to-date password vault (for all systems/servers)
  • Maintains all system/server related documentation
  • Ensures all production systems are replicated and/or maintained in Disaster Recovery (DR) environment
  • Participates in all failover/failback DR related processes
  • Maintains up-to-date system(s) processes, procedures, and failover documentation
  • Patches all assigned systems/servers regularly on their specific monthly/quarterly intervals
  • Ensures all device configurations are backed up according to current policy
  • Provide backup support for SBA secondary data center hosting site
  • Provide on-call support for SBA systems (once every 6 weeks for 1 week)

15% - Provide Aruba ClearPass Configuration, Integration, Management and Secure Network Access Control

  • Configures all network infrastructure devices to utilize TACACS authentication.
  • Configures all VPN connections to correctly authenticate using TACACS and/or RADIUS and 802.1x
  • Configures all internal wired and wireless devices to authenticate properly using RADIUS and 802.1x
  • Ensures ClearPass RADIUS and 802.1x integrates seamlessly with Cisco switch port configurations.
  • Manages/monitors ClearPass Insight System Reporting Tool

15% - Performs Linux Server system administration and security

  • Partitions and installs operating systems (OS) on servers using VMWare templates.
  • Configures VMWare (Virtual Linux) management.
  • Hardens all system operation systems (OS).
  • Provides system/MySQL support and replication for Linux Server(s)
  • Installs and configures all agents needed for security, logging, and replication

05% - Provides Citrix Management and Support

  • Configures, provisions, and maintains Machine Catalogs and Delivery Groups
  • Maintains/documents user connectivity documentation
  • Monitors storage usage for both the VM and the OS of the VM
  • Assists users with any connectivity
  • Configures, provisions, and maintains all site connections and resources (VLANs, datastores, and policies)

05% - Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Five years of related experience. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience; 2 years for an associate s degree, 4 years for a bachelor s degree, 6 years for a master s degree, 7 years for a professional degree, or 9 years for a doctoral degree.
Preferences:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or a related field
  • Experience in M365/Azure global administration
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Experience working in IT security related technologies and mitigation strategies
  • Experience working with hyperconverged infrastructure
  • Experience working with replication technologies
  • Experience working in IT environments supporting disaster recovery
  • Experience working with disk backup systems and software and related technologies (e.g., Rubrik)
