SteelGate LLC is hiring full time Systems Administrator - ISSO to join our team in Hawaii. In this role you will support United States Army Pacific by providing information technology service management and administration. SteelGate LLC is providing USARPAC services for developing, documenting, structuring, implementing, coordinating and monitoring delivery of service management processes, procedures and performance, including continuous improvement of all service areas. This includes support in coordinating, integrating and synchronizing the services from IT service area providers. This position requires a person who can be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, security and reliable operation of computer systems, especially multi-user computers. The Systems Administrator - ISSO seeks to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users. To meet these needs, the Systems Administrator - ISSO may install or upgrade computer components and software, provide routine automation, maintain security policies, troubleshoot, train or supervise staff, or offer technical support for projects. Provide technical assistance for securing servers, managing STIGS and software security issues on desktops, laptops, and other computer equipment. Keep up to date with security requirements, industry developments and trends in technology. Basic Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a related role • 2+ years of experience working as an ISSO in the DoD, Army, Joint, or Intelligence Community • Experience working with SYSADs to ensure compliance with systems security procedures and measures, maintain and review audit files, and adhere to government policies, and industry standards • Experience addressing routine information security matters and preparing reports and briefings • Experience managing multiple concurrent tasks, projects, and priorities to meet customer deadlines • Excellent organizational skills in maintaining documentation of system configurations and procedures, and providing reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities • Experience providing technical support to end users: monitoring system performance, troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues, optimizing network performance, managing system backups and recovery processes, and implementing necessary upgrades and patches • Experience with managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems, networks, and applications: including creating, enabling, provisioning and deactivating user accounts • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (can substitute with Associate's degree and 4 years of experience, or HS diploma and 6 years of experience) • TS/SCI clearance • CompTIA Security+ and/or DoD 8570-compliant IAT Level II Certification Desired Qualifications: • Experience supporting the Intelligence Community or a DoD, Army, or Joint Staff classified program • Experience as a U.S. Army Information Management Officer and/or coordinating across multiple organizations including Signal Brigades, Army offices, INSCOM, DoD CIO, DIA, GISA, NEC • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with team members, government clients, and stakeholders across teams to problem solve and recommend and implement system improvements • Experience with assessment and authorization requirements outlined in USG IS/security-related policies (e.g., 32 CFR Part 117, DAAPM, RMF, ICD 503, JSIG, and NIST RMF and STIG) • Experience with Kanban, Agile, or project management applications and methodologies • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Network+, or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification(s)
