Overview Stellar Solutions is searching for a skiled Senior System Engineer for Multi Domain Design, Integration, Test and Acquisition to support development of first-of-kind space missions for the Space Rapid Capabilities Office. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. The candidate will apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts for highly classified systems, while also effectively communicating complex results with management and executive leadership. This position provides a unique opportunity to provide onsite support to development, integration and test activities involving multiple government, contractor and national agencies in support of the System Program Office. The position's primary duty would be payload integration IPT lead, effects modelling IPT lead and test and integration support. Desired personnel possess an wholistic understanding of all program functions to include security, contracting, and budgeting at at least an IPT level. Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications In this position, you will support an acquisition program office and bring critical thinking and analysis in a dynamic, high-paced environment responding to senior leadership, supporting a broad range of technical and organizational activities and contribute to effective management of the program strategy, execution and ultimately system fielding. The ideal candidate will provide support to include teleconference meetings, face-to-face meetings, program strategy, and reviewing program documentation. * Plan, perform and oversee systems engineering, integration and test activities across the lifecycle from conceptual design to fielding to enable operational acceptance of space superiority systems: * factory, Government-led developmental and operational, and enterprise system-of-systems test planning and strategy development; * factory, developmental, operational, and enterprise test coordination and leadership; * coordination among developers, Government, mission partners, stakeholders, and enterprise organizations; * systems integration, verification, and validation; * results analysis, performance analysis, and concise reporting and risk management * Perform test-oriented project support to enable integration of space systems and sensors to a command and control enterprise. * Coordinate Government and contractor test integration activities with interfacing mission partners, systems, sensors, and applications throughout the full life cycle. * Provide technical support to Government and contractor reviews to track and assess progress, issues, requirements satisfaction, and traceability. Required skills: * At least 15 years of experience in leading teams. * Experience in coordinating across government and contractor teams. * Strong integration and test background with penchant for leading teams to define logical approaches where no clear guidance exists. * Ability to work on complex technical problems and provide solutions in concert with Government acquisition strategies, polices and instructions * Performs well given consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives * Self-initiator who can identify and pursue courses of action and obtain results without instruction * Communicates effectively and efficiently in oral and written form; able to brief problems/status and recommend solutions/strategies to senior management and leadership. Education * BS in Engineering or relevant discipline and eighteen (18) years or more experience; MS and sixteen (16) years or more experience Clearance: * U.S. Citizen with current eligibility for TS/SCI clearance Location * This position is full-time, on site in El Segundo, CA and will require travel up to 50% of time within the continental United States The typical pay range for this position is USD $165,000 - $210,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).
