Stellar Solutions is searching for a Senior Survivability Engineer to join our team. You will provide engineering guidance to support the development and test of advanced aircraft. You will interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations. Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications As a Senior Survivability Engineer professional you will provide engineering guidance to support the development and test of advanced aircraft. Interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations. This position will be located in the Washington DC area with frequent US travel. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: * Assist system engineers in developing aircraft survivability specifications * Assess and review aircraft survivability specifications * Assist in the development of aircraft survivability test plans * Review test data from survivability test and evaluation * Provide performance assessments * Support the development of survivability support subsystems that enhance aircraft maintainability * Work with contractors and government engineering and test personnel Required skills: * 10+ years' of specialty experience demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects related to aircraft survivability (e.g., visual, audio, infrared and radio frequency) * Expereince with recent significant systems engineering experience in the design, development, and testing of processes, technology and subsystems related to aircraft survivability * Specific knowledge of classified test and evaluation capabilities used to develop advanced aircraft characteristics Desired Requirements: * Experience around Fixed-wing aircrew (pilot of NFO) * USN or USMC (vice USAF) * LO background * Knowledge of acquisitions * Weapons School Education Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field Clearance Requirements: * TS/SCI with previous SAP experience * U.S. Citizenship is required for this position Location * This position is full-time, in the Washington D.C. area and will require travel up to 30% of time within the continental United States The typical pay range for this position is USD $145,000 - $215,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package). Deliverable(s) Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.
