Job Function: Serve as a subject matter expert on designated Live/Virtual/Constructive/Gaming systems used to support training. Responsibilities: * Performing system management and system administration functions supporting a distributed computing environment consisting of military simulations and Gaming systems (e.g., JLCCTC WARSIM, JLVC/JCATS, Low Overhead simulations such as LOTS/DXTRS, and Gaming systems such as VBS3), and integrate these systems with Command-and-Control Systems / Mission Command Systems (MCS) in order to support training requirements for military units ranging from battalion to echelons above corps * Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware * Manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems * Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems * Set up simulation system administrator and service accounts * Participates in special projects as required Qualifications: * 3+ years of related work experience * Knowledge of both information technology and simulations systems * Knowledge of Army War Fighting Functions, Army LVCG simulation technical operations and functional operations * Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms * Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support * Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software Education: AA/AS in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training Certifications: Meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II minimum requirements or the minimum equivalent DoD 8140 DCWF requirements
