Machine Learning Computer Vision MS/PhD Summer Internship Join STR's Video & Image Understanding (VIU) Group as a summer intern to develop and apply deep learning or reinforcement learning techniques to solve challenging problems in computer vision, situational awareness and autonomous control. Job Description: * You will work as part of a project team with focused mentorship from experienced staff. * You will adapt, extend and optimize innovative machine learning algorithms for solving challenging computer vision or autonomy problems. * You will collaborate with STR research engineers as well as academic researchers, who are often part of our team, to develop practical and powerful machine learning and computer vision solutions. * You will have the opportunity to evaluate and optimize machine learning performance on relevant and practical data sets. Requirements: * Enrollment in an MS or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related technical discipline. * Successful track record of applying machine learning algorithms, such as deep learning or reinforcement learning, to computer vision or autonomy problems. * Strong academic record and interest in research. * Experience in scientific software development, particularly with Python.
