Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Use performance software to size compressor frames and cylinders.
Design and size pressure vessels, pipe spools, scrubbers, and pulsation bottles per ASME Section VIII standards.
Collaborate with vendors for component sizing, quotes, and lead times.
Create quote and shop drawings with engineers from supplied specifications.
Work from various drawings and specifications (customer, company, government).
Create and maintain BOMs within the ERP system.
Advise welders and assemblers, ensuring overall package quality.
Design parts and assemblies based on engineer descriptions.
Draft sheet-metal components for housings.
Create drawings for manuals and engineering projects.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree or technical trade school completion in CAD, drafting, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 10 years of compressor/compressor packaging experience.
Electrical design experience is a plus but not required.
Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.
Ability to read, interpret, and use standards and customer documentation.
Capable of working with minimal supervision and self-checking work.
Able to electronically receive and transmit drawings, with or without CAD software translation.
