Avg Daily Census: 55-60
Shift: 12 HRS (36 hours only; No OT billed until after 40 hours)
Contract Duration: Accepting contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop)
RTO: 7 days MAX
Float Requirement: Yes, floating is required
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; minimum of 9 weekend shifts per contract
RTO after booking is not allowed; any call offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation and DNR
Required Skills / Certifications / Experience
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of inpatient behavioral health
Traveler Experience: Unit does not accept first-time travelers
Locals Accepted: Yes
Skills: Locked Unit, Medical/Psych, Cardiac arrest/CPR, Medication Administration (PO, RECTAL, IM, IV, SC, etc)
Certifications: BLS and CPI

The Novant/New Hanover Behavioral Health Hospital is a 62-bed facility located in Wilmington, NC, comprised of four units offering comprehensive treatment to adults with various acute symptoms of mental health disorders such as depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, etc. We provide a safe and secure environment for patients to receive therapeutic care and support throughout their inpatient stay. Our team of behavioral health professionals includes board-certified nurses.
