Job Details

• Location: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center
• Contract Duration: Up to March 15, 2025, with contracts ranging from 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (No overtime until after 48 hours if opting for 48-hour weeks)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating Requirement: Required to float to other med/surg units as needed
• Orientation: 36 hours

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• At least 1 year of traveler experience
• IV start skills
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start

• Telemetry experience preferred

The unit cares for a diverse population, including:

• Patients with GI conditions
• Patients with blood loss and anemia related to the GI tract
• Patients with infections
• Some renal patients
• Surgical patients post-GI surgery
• Cardiac rhythm monitoring (10 Tele beds available)

• Fast-paced environment with a high turnover rate
• Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, with potential for 1:7 during staffing challenges
• Unit Systems: PYXIS/EPIC/SBAR
• Scrubs: Navy and/or white
