Target Ratios: 1:5-6
Hours: 36-48 hrs can be offered, with OT available after 48 hrs.
Contract Duration: Available from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025.
Shift: 12-hour nights; 18:45 - 07:15
RTO: 7 days max for Client Auto Offer
Float Requirement: Required to float to like units.
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in 6 weeks, with potential for more based on staffing needs.
Required Skills / Certifications / Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience required.
Traveler Experience: Unit accepts first-time travelers.
Locals Accepted with rate difference.
Skills: IV start, Vents, Telemetry, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience
NIHSS
Patient Population
COPD, Resp distress, COVID-19, FLU, PE's.
Includes care for COVID-19 patients, including those who have tested positive.
Special Procedures / Unit Details
High acuity similar to a med-surg unit with a team lead present.
Ventilators for chronic trach/vent patients; no nurse has more than one vent patient.
48 beds in total.
CNA's ratio: 9-10:1
Common conditions: COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, acute respiratory failure, chest tubes, CPAP, BiPAP.
