This position is for an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) who will lead the planning, design, and documentation of security practices, policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to files and data elements of Navy enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will recognize and identify potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change and additional development. They will provide the management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise of critical issues affecting security objectives and recommend security products, services and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness of Navy enterprise systems. • Primary responsibilities will be in facilitating the collection, audit and submission of required deliverables through the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process. Functions to be performed include the following: CSR Submission, CSR Deliverable audit, DIACAP workbook collection, audit and submission. Responsibilities Include:
• Support the Engineers with information assurance compliance tracking and analysis. This will take a lot of the paperwork and IA compliance off the engineers to free up their time. This position will have a primary focus on Engineering Support.
• Acts as a facilitator between certification & accreditation (C&A) process
• Consolidation and audit of technical documentation needed to get the solution to pass certification & accreditation from the Navy (i.e. RMF packages)
• Present technical document to internal and external customers. Analyze performance problems and recommends solutions to the engineers on the team
• Support engineers with Information Assurance compliance tracking and analysis
• Review the CSR documents (RFR, Whitepaper, Executive Summary)
• Schedule for CSR , attend the meeting and post minutes in appropriate RMF project
• Retrieve eMASS package, review all CSR minutes for the solutions assigned to the RMF package, Attach all documents to the project
• Develop and execute the required scans and checklists
• Act as a subject matter expert for Scan Mitigations on RMF and baseline scans.
• Communicate issues by both verbal and written process through the appropriate groups\teams.
• Review and understand required delivery dates (project schedule) for project assigned.
