This employee will be responsible for answering the main switchboard, greeting visitors, and providing clerical support in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.

Description:

  • Opens reception area and office by 8:30 am each day and closes reception area at the end of the day
  • Maintains reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
  • First point of contact for on-site visitors (including deliveries): welcomes, determines nature of business, and announces to appropriate personnel
  • Presents a friendly, professional demeanor at all times
  • Logs incoming new business submissions for Underwriters in a timely manner
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purposes of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or departments in a friendly and professional manner
  • Performs backup support to other administrative areas, including but not limited to Loss Runs
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, collating, and printing, making appointments for all staff or for specific employees, such as executives
  • Handles overnight deliveries and all incoming mail
  • Maintains confidentiality in matters pertaining to management
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Candidate will be responsible for excessive multi-tasking and operating multiple computer systems. This position will require hands on training where the candidates will need to use an intuitive approach to assisting customers and internal employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required
  • Previous work experience in customer service, with a successful track record
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Proactive, independent work ethic with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide
  • Range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.
  • Must be highly organized and Self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • This role is ONSITE M-F - candidates must be comfortable commuting 5 days a week
