Job Title: Desktop Support

Job Description:

Are you a tech-savvy professional with a passion for problem-solving? We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Desktop Support to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring our hardware and software systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Your day-to-day tasks will range from managing the support queue, troubleshooting RDS Windows problems, to providing desktop support. You will also mentor interns and handle infrastructure issues that need to be escalated to the team. This role is open to server-side tasks and is perfect for someone looking for advancement in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and basic administration of Remote Desktop Services
  • Support and administration of Active Directory/Azure User/Group Management
  • Support of O365 accounts and licenses
  • Support DHCP, DNS, FTP, and other network services
  • Respond to server resource monitoring alerts
  • Monitor and work customer support tickets and requests
  • Divisional support escalation
  • Training and Documentation
  • Software inventories and documentation
  • Ability to participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call schedule
  • Setup of physical workspaces, PC’s, printers, monitors, and other peripherals
  • Desktop and deskside support as required

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree, trade school certificate or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in workstation configuration management, administration, and production support
  • Microsoft Server systems certifications such as Microsoft MCP, A+, Network+ are valued
  • Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server: 2016 – 2022
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune
  • Knowledge and understanding of server virtualization focused on Hyper-V
  • Demonstrate basic to intermediate scripting knowledge and skills with PowerShell
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-critical production environment
  • Ability to comprehend systems architecture and design
  • Ability to gather, interpret, document, and evaluate workstation requirements
  • Ability to conduct research into workstation and application issues
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong customer service orientation and work ethic
