Telum is seeking an experienced Logistician to provide comprehensive logistical support for our team primarily supporting a United States Department of Defense customer at Pope Army Airfield, NC. This role is critical to the effective execution of training programs and exercises by ensuring the proper management, shipment, and accountability of all equipment, training aids, and materials. The Logistician will play a key role in supporting mobile and in-residence training operations both domestically and internationally. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities Plan and execute logistical support for the customer's training programs, including the shipment, distribution, and tracking of training materials, equipment, and mobile classroom supplies.
Provide comprehensive logistical support to Mobile Training Teams (MTTs), ensuring proper scheduling, transportation, and paperwork processing through Department of Defense Transportation Mobility Offices (TMO), commercial carriers, and international customs offices.
Track, maintain, and inventory all equipment, ensuring proper accountability for items used in training courses and exercises.
Manage the return and inspection of MTT equipment and provide recommendations for the repair or replacement of damaged items.
Assist the Property Custodian in documenting changes to equipment accounts using the Defense Property Acquisition System (DPAS).
Maintain, clean, and update equipment as required, ensuring it is stored securely and in good working order.
Organize and maintain the cleanliness and configuration of storage and maintenance areas.
Ensure configuration management for automated tools, providing recommendations for new acquisitions or replacements to support customer missions.
Develop and present logistical briefings and reports related to training and exercise support, including shipping expense reports and lessons learned from past logistical operations.
Provide monthly reports on the status, location, and condition of all equipment.
Analyze and document lessons learned from past exercises or operations, making recommendations for future logistical improvements to ensure the successful delivery of training programs.
Required Qualifications Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics management, equipment accountability, and transportation coordination, preferably in a military or government contracting environment
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) logistics systems, including Defense Property Acquisition System (DPAS), and transportation regulations.
Experience with international shipping and customs processes for military or government equipment is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate complex logistical operations across multiple stakeholders.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Company Overview
