About the Role

We are hiring a Fleet Technician / Mechanic who repairs and overhauls brakes, ignition systems, electrical systems, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems; inspects, repairs, overhauls, and assembles automotive electrical equipment such as generators, distributors, magnetos, and starters; and performs other related duties.

What You Will Do:
Perform basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades on gasoline and diesel vehicles and equipment.
Efficiently and accurately diagnose and provide recommendations on repairs.
Maintain accurate vehicle records.
Maintain shop equipment.
Check parts stock, place relevant orders, and verify orders for accuracy upon receipt.
Participate in industry-related training opportunities and read technical publications.
Take ownership of the quality of work performed and the cleanliness of the workshop.
Communicate within the team and field operations.
Willingness to work from other locations and in the field where needed.
Be a team player and contribute to the overall success of the organization's growing and diverse team.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:
Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge.
Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment.
Ability to work independently as well as efficiently within a team.
Must have your tools (Tendit will supply specialized tools, as needed)
Paving, street sweeping, and striping equipment is a plus.
High school diploma or GED
A current and valid driver’s license
Ability to lift to 75 pounds.
Attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Bilingual is a plus.

Compensation for this position is $27.00 - $32.00 hourly, depending on experience.
