Job Summary:
To perform modification work and structural repairs on experimental, production and fielded aircraft.
Job Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of duties in the performance of modification work and structural repairs on
experimental, production and fielded aircraft. Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence
of operations where standard methods are available.
• Repairs a variety of malfunctions concerned with complex aircraft assemblies, landing
gear systems, props, optional equipment, and hydraulic and pressurization systems.
• Performs sheet metal and assembly work in the performance of modification and service
work.
• Performs minor upholstery and touchup type paint work.
• Assists higher grade Mod Mechanics in the performance of functional test and repair of aircraft
and other tasks as necessary.
• Uses equipment to operate and functional test various aircraft systems using a variety of hand
tools. Maintains clean working area.
• Responsible only for own work.
• Performs other related duties as required.
