Plus, we handle all our piloting in-house for a fleet of unmanned vehicles carrying our top-notch acoustic payloads. Position Summary:
As our Engineering Technician Lead, you’ll be the backbone supporting our deployment and engineering teams. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into building, testing, and deploying/recovering our cutting-edge TM systems. This is a Full Time, in person role in Groton, CT reporting to the Deputy Director, Engineering – Persistent Surveillance System. Roles and Responsibilities: Assemble and test payloads for PSS systems
Build electrical assemblies for auxiliary components
Test equipment operation with various software and electronic tools
Troubleshoot broken equipment like a pro
Perform precision equipment calibration
Maintain the build and troubleshooting guides for our high-tech systems
Refine assembly methods for maximum efficiency and durability
Train and mentor new Engineering Technicians
Lead and inspire junior team members Qualifications and Educational Requirements: 2-year technical degree or 5-8 years of hands-on experience
Advanced Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting skills
Proficiency with hand tools is a must
Safety is your middle name
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
Create wiring diagrams for new components
Document new component designs like a boss
Work independently and thrive in a team environment Preferred Skills: Experience in soldering and splicing cables
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to work overtime and meet tight deadlines
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Previous leadership experience is a huge plus Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Ready to work in various outdoor conditions – rain or shine!
Some sea trips may be in store (2 weeks at sea)
