PHYSICAL/MECHANICAL ENGINEER WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

Description JOB SUMMARY: The Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support for the AFPSL and Technical Order functions. Designs, develops and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment and machinery. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. * Minimum 5 years' experience in metrology or related discipline. * Working knowledge of metrology theory, principles, and practices in assigned measurement areas. * Understanding of theory and application of measurement uncertainty analysis. Qualifications ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. * Directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. * Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Perform other related duties as assigned.
