Job Description Systems/ Electrical Engineer Duties/ Responsibilities include but are not limited to * Support Navigation and ship control systems and equipment. * Participate in requirements development and design reviews of next generation test tools including prototypes. * Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of current and future systems. * Modify existing simulator software and hardware to support ship control and bridge systems requirements. * Troubleshoot existing hardware and software. * Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/ Required Skills: * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering * 2-4 years of experience networking and/or scripting * Knowledge of IP network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark. * Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to embedded systems * Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance (US Citizenship Required). Desired Characteristics: * Technical writing ability. * Experience using LabVIEW for rapid prototype development.
