TIAG is now hiring a Principal Network Engineer to join our team at the Office of Naval Research (ONR) in Arlington, VA. Candidates must possess an active Top-Secret Clearance to be considered. The Principal Network Engineer will assist the Office of Naval Research establish and maintain an information technology network operation. This position reports in a hybrid capacity onsite up to 3 days per week in Arlington, VA. Position Responsibilities: * Serves as the Lead Network Engineer providing network engineering subject matter expertise and technical advisory services to maintain network operations at the ONR. * Manages a technical staff of network engineers as part of the larger Network Operations Team. * Supports LAN infrastructure design in a Data Center environment to include Cisco Nexus 9300 switches, and Catalyst 3850 and 9500 switches, Aruba 7030 wireless controllers, wireless access points, ClearPass, Solarwinds, and Radius servers. WAN support for BGP neighbor. * Provides support on security policy configuration for Palo Alto to include App-ID, User-ID, Global Protect, Wildfire, NAT policies, and security profiles. * Configures and manages Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) architecture with Radius for Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto platforms. * Configures and troubleshoots TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6 subnetting, access lists, L2 and L3 connectivity issues within Cisco Router ASR1002, Cisco Catalyst 3850s/9500s, Cisco Nexus 9300 switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Aruba Wireless. * Troubleshoots SNMP, NetFlow, DHCP, DNS, 802.1x, NetFlow, and Spanning-tree. * Uses SolarWinds to monitor and test network performance. Provide network performance statistics and reports. * Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. * Develops, implements, and maintains yearly STIG policy and procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. * Implements new and existing network equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. * Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. * Handles and resolves tickets using ServiceNow. Required Experience: * Active Secret clearance at minimum; eligibility for a Top Secret clearance * 10+ years of related network and IT experience * At least 3 years of managing at technical team in a networking environment * Bachelor's degree or an additional 4 year's equivalent experience in lieu of degree * IAT Level II certification such as Security+ or equivalent * Certified Network Engineer or equivalent network or an equivalent professional network engineering certification (e.g. CCNP). * IAM Level II certification (CISSP, CASP+, CISM, CAP) * Network layer 2 to 4 troubleshooting experience * Competence with testing tools and procedures for data circuits. * Experience with Cisco equipment. * Experience with firewalls, preferably Palo Alto. * Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments is a plus. * Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. * Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative global environment.
