Financial Analyst

Scope/Purpose: Responsible for various accounting functions and reporting.Description: Reconcile intercompany purchases and book corresponding journal entries Analyze and create the month-end accounts payable accruals Complete account reconciliationsTasks: •\tMonitor and update inventory transactions. Work with the Materials & Quality department to ensure all scrap & RGV transactions are entered on a timely basis •\tProvide weekly scrap reports to Management •\tMonitor and facilitate AP functions in the plant •\tReview all non-production purchase orders to ensure proper general ledger account coding. •\tPerform quarterly inventory standard roll, calculate the financial impact and keep all documentation. •\tKey part of the month-end close process. Responsible for several journal entries and account reconciliations. •\tWork with the Quality Department to process all vendor chargebacks. •\tAssist with quarterly Sox testing requirements and report results to Plant Controller •\tComplete the weekly Freight audit. •\tCreate and Issue Debit/Credit Memos and Manual invoices as needed •\tReview and/or correct any AR price or quantity discrepancies •\tParticipate in monthly BOM audits •\tParticipate in annual Physical Inventories and review all cycle count adjustments •\tProcess weekly hourly payroll and complete weekly payroll Journal Entry •\tAd hoc assignments and reports as neededQualifications Four-year accounting degree or related field. 3 years of relevant experience Advanced computer skillsGood Excel skills Good written and oral communication \t\t\t \t\t\t
