Job DescriptionPosition: Technology Operations Consultant (Contingent Resource)Location: Charlotte, NCRole Overview: Team provides 1st Level 24/7 distributed infrastructure support for servers, storage, and virtual hosting environment.
Working as part of the Distributed Technology Operations team, candidate will assume responsibility for event and incident management break/fix support including problem diagnosis, troubleshooting,
repair and resolution of issues. As a Technology Operations Consultant, you will engage in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Technology Operations. Your responsibilities will include contributing to large-scale planning, reviewing and analyzing challenges, and resolving issues by leveraging your understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate closely with client personnel to meet Technology Operations deliverables.The candidate will be required to work on site in Charlotte in the IT Operations Command Center with other technology platforms.
The schedule will be Sunday - Wednesday
(two 12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) as well as two 8 hour shifts (TBD).Key Responsibilities:Participate in and consult on moderately complex initiatives within Technology Operations.Contribute to large-scale planning related to Technology Operations deliverables.Review and analyze Technology Operations challenges requiring in-depth evaluation.Resolve moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables.Leverage a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.Collaborate with client personnel in Technology Operations.Platform Support:Distributed infrastructure support for Windows, Red Hat Linux, SAN, NAS, and VM Hosting.Seeking a junior systems administrator with expertise in one of these areas.Required Qualifications:4+ years of Technology Operations experience, or equivalent experience through work, consulting, training, military, or education.Desired Skills and Experience:Incident Management: 4 - 6 YearsIncident Response: 2 - 4 YearsIT Infrastructure: 2 - 4 YearsOperational Support: 2 - 4 YearsProblem Solving: 4 - 6 YearsRed Hat Linux: 2 - 4 YearsTechnical Support: 4 - 6 YearsTroubleshooting: 4 - 6 YearsVMware: 2 - 4 YearsWindows Server: 2 - 4 Years
