Accounting SpecialistLocation: Grand Prairie, TXSchedule:Mon-Fri (Occasional Saturday or Sunday)Flexible 8-hour shiftsOvertime as neededType: Contract to hireWork Arrangement: Fully on-siteRole Overview: As an Accounting Specialist, you will collaborate with the Controller, Assistant Controller, and Cost Accountant to deliver accurate financial analysis and reports in a Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment.Top 3 Must-Haves:Strong attention to detail and follow-up skillsAbility to maintain and enforce strict processes to meet regulatory demandsCapability to set priorities and multitask while adhering to strict reporting deadlinesAdditional Skills/Requirements:Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with SAP and Kronos is a plusBachelor's Degree in AccountingResponsibilities:Process weekly payroll and handle related reporting and follow-up tasksPrepare month-end journal entries and reconcile and analyze assigned General Ledger accountsAssist with projects and cost accounting activitiesSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable analysis and dutiesCross-train in other accounting areas to serve as a backupPerform other administrative tasks, projects, and duties as assignedAssist with Sarbanes-Oxley auditing requirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related fieldMinimum of 1 year of accounting experienceStrong attention to detail and follow-up skillsInitiative and ability to manage multiple responsibilitiesAdaptability to a fast-paced and changing environmentAbility to set and meet workflow deadlinesAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Bonus Qualifications:Master's degree in accounting or a related fieldExperience with Kronos Payroll Software, Coupa, SAP, and AS400Previous experience in a manufacturing facilityApplication: Please send your resume to: kbarrymore judge.com
