They have overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities across the department.They ensure that their Technical Architecture departments have the required skills, knowledge and expertise to specify and design solutions to meet a client’s overall business requirements.What you'll be doingKey Roles and Responsibilities:Manages Technical Architecture department effectively and within the required parameters set by Human Resources. This includes hiring staff, setting team goals, and conducting performance reviewsAssists with the establishment of the vision, goals, and measures of success for the Technical Architecture department, recognizing the current team maturity and skills of the team membersCoach/mentor and provide management and leadership to the functional managers and specialists within the teamActs as an advisor and decision maker in technical design and build situations of complex client solutionsAssists with setting operational objectives for the Technical Architecture functionGuides the team in terms of successful implementation and execution of system solutionsContributes to the development of solution/technical architectures in complex and specific business, infrastructure or functional areasProvides necessary assistance / guidance regarding the pre-sales technical support and expertise in analysing client requirements, in conjunction with the client’s current infrastructure, architecture, system capabilities and business challengesUnderstand, influence and design organisation structures, capabilities, processes and operating modelsDevelop solution architecture using the Technical Architecture domain abstractionParticipate in the analysis, evaluation and development of long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the Technical Architecture objectives are consistent with the business’ long-term business objectivesMeasure the value of the efforts of the Technical Architecture department and present those measures to stakeholders within the business to earn buy in for the function and the funding it requiresProvide timely and high-quality reports and briefings on architecture roadmap, strategic initiatives and architecture metrics to leadership and relevant stakeholdersKnowledge, Skills and Attributes:Ability to coach and mentor a highly technical and specialized teamDemonstrate general product knowledge integrated with strong technology understandingExcellent understanding of the vendor’s products, business and technology positioningExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to establish and create excellent C-suite client relationships with their technical expertiseAbility to develop and leverage their knowledge of reference architecturesAbility to maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domainsKnowledgeable in core frameworks usedGood knowledge of the problem domain that their systems are to provide solutions forAbility to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and staffAbility to interact with C-suite / Executive stakeholders – internally and externallyAbility to use insight to analyse, understand, and develop simple and clear solutions that solve problems – leading to the attainment of an organisation’s strategic objectivesComprehensive knowledge of NTT Ltd and its product/service offersAcademic Qualifications and Certifications:Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information SystemsCertification and working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologiesRelevant vendor and industry certifications, e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, OracleRequired Experience:Track record managing a Technical Architecture function preferably within an IT services environmentExtended client engagement and development consulting experienceExtended experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraintsExtended experience in a variety of architectures for specific domain or specializationExtended experience designer and development know-howProject management experienceExtended experience working in an agile development environmentWorkplace type: Remote WorkingAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
