Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and assists team members with delegated tasks and procedures within their scope of practice. This role requires a thorough understanding of the responsibilities, the ability to seek clarification when necessary, and the capability to produce accurate and timely computer documentation. Knowledge of printer and fax functions is essential. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, capable of multitasking, and possesses strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:



* Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

* Assist team members with delegated tasks and procedures within the scope of practice.

* Produce accurate and timely computer documentation with minimal direction.

* Demonstrate knowledge of printer and fax functions.

* Exhibit a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

* Work productively under stress and maintain a professional demeanor.

* Prioritize workloads effectively.

* Provide a safe environment and therapeutic milieu based on the age of the patients served.

* Communicate observed changes in patient behavior or activity to the RN.


Requirements

Qualifications:


* Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a CNA program preferred. This position may qualify for a training assignment, with conditions stated in writing at the time of hire.

* License/Certification/Registry: Current certification as a nursing assistant or enrollment in a CNA training program with certification required at the end of the training period. BLS certification required. SECURE Training required within 6 months of hire, and annually thereafter.

* Knowledge/Experience: Previous hospital or long-term care experience, including the use of medical terminology, preferred.
