TMC Technologies is in search of a Database Administrator to support a federal client. The candidate must be a US citizen and possess a minimum of anactive Secret clearanceto start due to federal contract requirements. This position is considered to be a remote position; however, staff may be required to support limited face-to-face meetings with the business line or end users. There is potential for face-to-face SAFe ceremonies on limited occasions. The Database Administrator will: - Perform deployment of various databased in non-production and production environments. - Provide database expertise for all web applications. - Provide administration experience with Oracle (12c, 18c, 19c) in addition to AWS and Linux (RHEL 7+). - Perform monitoring, reporting and debugging for Oracle Enterprise Manager, Cloud Control services, Grid Controller, etc. - Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. - Provides database performance tuning, database upgrades, and database patching to all COTS database products. - Provides support from the hardware level through to the applications running to support a service. - Performs maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design. - Provide custom application user training. - Provide continuous research and recommendation of practices/programming products to improve coding throughput and quality control efficiencies. - Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure managed content is relevant and updated on a continual basis.
