TMC Technologies is in need of a Senior Systems Engineer to support ongoing development activities of critical FBI IT systems. Due to federal contract requirements, the candidate must be a US Citizen and possess a minimum of an active Secret security clearance. This position is considered to be a fully remote position;however, staff may be required to support face-to-face meetings with the business line or end users. There is potential for face-to-face SAFe ceremonies on occasion. Responsibilities and qualities of the Senior Systems Engineer may include: - Provide hands-on engineering and administration support with a team that is responsible for O&M and engineering services - Serve as a Senior System Engineer for RHEL infrastructure including Linux/RHEL System Administration/Installation (reviewing logs, system documentation); will ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users - Design, develop, or recommend integrated system solutions ensuring proprietary/ confidential data and systems are protected, participating with the client in the strategic design process to translate functional and business requirements into technical designs, and configuring and validating operational systems - Support the project lifecycle for AWS cloud infrastructure and technology projects - Develop and maintain secure authentication service requests using Kerberos - Provide support for ongoing Java development leveraging Apache Tomcat hosting Job Requirements US Citizen and active Secret clearance required Minimum 7+ years experience in upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems required Demonstrated experience working in RHEL 8/9 environments required Experience in Tomcat, Applications management and operating system upgrades required Experience in supporting AWS infrastructure implementation/administration (Services like AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, EBS, EFS, RDS, S3, Management Service (KMS), ELB, Auto Scaling, Security groups, ACL, Cloud Trail and Cloud Watch) required Analyzing security requirements (Compliance, Standards, etc.) and applying latest security patches to ensure that each resource or system has the proper resources allocated to it required Experience with test-driven development using Agile methodologies required; SAFe Agile preferred Knowledge and expertise on following tools (Grafana, Splunk, PEGA, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Bit Bucket) preferred We are equal opportunity/affirmative action employers, committed to diversity in the workplace.
