About our Fulfillment Operations team: The Fulfillment Operations team fulfills customer orders for Transcorps retail partners. We strive to provide exceptional service to every customer, maximize efficiency in our operations, and create a safe and fulfilling workplace for our team members.

Highlights: The HR Generalist will directly handle, advise and coach on employee relations, benefits, payroll and compliance matters, as well as work with the broader HR team to develop and drive company-wide initiatives and overall process improvements. The HR Generalist will work onsite Monday-Friday and will need some flexibility to work some weekends. This role is a critical component of our business growth. This role reports into the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner to provide comprehensive support to the greater Operations & Fulfillment teams.

ABOUT THE JOB

HR Generalist

  • Act as a subject-matter expert for labor and employment laws for both exempt and non-exempt employee groups (payroll, benefits, compliance, terminations, leave of absences, etc.)
  • Advise and provide mentorship to first-time managers on employee relations, systems implementation, performance management, policies, and other related topics
  • Partner with your HR Business Partner on larger projects and org changes
  • Provide on-the-ground HR support for the client groups you support.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvements to HR programs and processes to drive efficiencies and enhance the employee experience
  • Conduct exit interviews and support administration of employee offboarding
  • Handle employee relations investigations and respond to all questions regarding benefits, systems, performance, company programs and policies
  • Assist in recruiting efforts as needed

Benefits Administration

  • Benefits Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (including group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability and life insurance).
  • Leaves of Absence Management: Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork. Communicate with employees regarding their benefits and leave entitlements and responsibilities.
  • Employee Assistance: Serve as the primary contact for benefits questions and concerns, resolving issues efficiently to ensure employee satisfaction..
  • Vendor Interaction: Liaise with external vendors and advisors (e.g., benefit vendors, insurance brokers, etc.) to ensure services are rendered effectively.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and maintain reports necessary for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist in the preparation of audit trails as needed.
  • Program Communication: Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package. Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and education programs.

Payroll Administration

  • Transmit and sign off on Weekly and BiWeekly time cards via HCM/HRIS and theyre associated Managed Payroll Services teams for both Full-Time and Part-Time employees.
  • Reconcile Weekly/ Biweekly Payroll Registers, included but not limited to flux analysis, bonus reconciliation,assisting in processing tips and mileage, and any other additional payments as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
  • Audit, research, analyze and reconcile new hire information and changes, as well as investigate discrepancies, in partnership with community HR teams.
  • Perform Weekly/Bi-weekly payroll for management and hourly staff, including a cost analysis and balancing of pay funding for each payroll reported to finance.
  • Process garnishments via HCM/HRIS systems.
  • Assist with Quarterly and year-end reporting, including W2 statements.
  • Provide support to internal and external business partners.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
  • Update and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Maintain payroll operations workflows in alignment with current procedures and policies, including running and distributing payroll reports within established timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Payroll/labor laws to include but not limited to, Federal, State and local.

ABOUT YOU

  • Five (5) years of HR experience in fast growing organizations
  • Knowledge of applicable HR-related laws and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and navigate in a rapidly-changing environment
  • The role is onsite Monday-Friday and will need some flexibility to work some weekends.
  • Solid communicator with proven experience influencing and collaborating cross-functionally, ideally with dispersed teams
  • Experience being the face of HR, representing policies and practices to managers and employees across the organization
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • An analytical mindset and high business acumen
  • Experience with ADP (or similar HRIS), Google and Office suite, Greenhouse, Fountain, Navex preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data.
