TRC is seeking a Composite Manufacturing Supervisor for one of our aerospace and aviation clients for an onsite role based out of San Jose, CA!
Role Overview: As the Aerospace Composite Manufacturing Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled composite structure technicians, overseeing daily operations in composite fabrication, assembly, and integration. This role requires a strong background in composite manufacturing processes, leadership, and a passion for driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a dynamic production environment.

o Supervise and support a team of composite structure technicians, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and in alignment with company goals. o Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities for technicians to enhance their skills and career growth.
o Conduct performance evaluations and manage team schedules to meet production deadlines.
Production Management:
o Oversee composite manufacturing processes, including fabrication, assembly, and integration of aerospace components. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain) to resolve technical challenges and ensure seamless production workflows.
o Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing practices and 5S standards to optimize production efficiency.
Process and Quality Improvement:
o Develop and refine manufacturing procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. o Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to composite materials and structures. o Lead initiatives to enhance safety protocols, reduce waste, and improve overall workplace quality.
Project Management:

Qualifications:
Required:
o Minimum 7-10 years of aerospace manufacturing experience with a focus on composite structures.
o At least 3-5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment.
o In-depth knowledge of composite materials, fabrication methods, and assembly processes.
o Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced, regulated environment.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork. o Proficiency with manufacturing software and tools (e.g., MES, ERP systems, CAD).
Preferred:
o Play a key role in facility setup, including layout planning, tool procurement, and establishing safe workspaces.

o Certifications in composite manufacturing or non-destructive testing (e.g., ACMA, NDT).
o Familiarity with FAA regulations, including Part 23 requirements.
o Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., autoclaves, vacuum bagging). Physical Demands
•Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
•Visual acuity for detailed inspections and quality assurance tasks
o Certifications in composite manufacturing or non-destructive testing (e.g., ACMA, NDT).
