We are seeking a Welding Equipment Maintenance Manager to own the technical lifecycle of our highly automated welding shop.
This is a Direct Hire opportunity to lead a team of 30+, establishing the maintenance index and culture for one of the most advanced manufacturing sites in the world.

Key Leadership Responsibilities

Strategic Shop Management: Own the Maintenance Index (Downtime, PM completion, Safety, and Skill levels) for the entire welding shop.

Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 30+ members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Budget & Assets: Manage the annual maintenance budget, including full-cycle spare parts management (R&R) and inventory control within SAP.

Operational Precision: Prepare and execute the annual operation plan, ensuring equipment performance meets aggressive launch and production goals.

Technical Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for PLC-based automation and complex electrical/mechanical systems.
What You Will Bring

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Required).

Experience: 10+ years in automated manufacturing maintenance, with at least 5 years in a major US automotive environment (Preferred).

Leadership: Proven success managing teams of 30 or more employees, including recruitment, appraisal, and conflict resolution.

Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of electrical/mechanical drawings and troubleshooting for PLC-based automation (AB PLC and control circuit experience preferred).

Robotics Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive robotic welding (Kawasaki or Fanuc preferred).

Flexibility: A commitment to supporting a 24/7 environment, including shift rotations and urgent response for nights or weekends.
