Description:

This individual is responsible for coordinating the MQSA Mammography Q/C and ACR Accreditation for our Mammography Department and Breast Imaging program and assist with the mammography tracking system within EPIC.

Position Purpose

This technologist will also be expected to provide high quality mammography/breast imaging procedures to our patients, consistent with the quality and expectations required of all mammography technologists, as needed.

  • The ideal candidate will display a drive to provide patient-centered experiences through scholarly scientific inquiry, compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and education for the patient and families, and collaboration with all those who touch our patients.
  • The candidate for this critical role also uses critical thinking skills to resolve complex procedural situations & ability to handle emergency high stress situations during high-risk procedures. 
  • Must be able to work in all breast imaging modalities with high quality and proficiency. Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work well with patients, staff and physicians.
  • Must have aptitude for statistical reporting and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology; Associate degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Connecticut Radiology license.
  • Certification: ARRT and Mammography Certified.
  • Skills: Minimum 3 years working experience in the mammography modality required, preferably in an acute care setting.   Must have previous experience with an MQSA Q/C and ACR Accreditation review.
