Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months within the past 12 months.

• ASN completion required

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips to titrate to HR NOT BP

• Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for Level 1 Trauma Hospital

• IV insertion and care, central line management

• Wound care and post op monitoring

• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation

• Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams

• Discharge planning and patient education, particularly on renal and fluid management

Required Credentials:

• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) required (EKG Rhythm exam as part of Onboarding)

• ASN/BSN

Preferred Credentials: National certification - Medical-Surgical certification

Unit/Facility Details: Parking: Have free parking around campus or can pay to park in parking decks.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Rotation: 6 shifts on a 6 week schedule (6 out of 12 shifts

• On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

• Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirements: All adult med surg / telemetry units in house

7 days maximum time off

2 references from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - 1 required for submission
