Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 10 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Duke Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Skills: Congenital Heart Disease/Repair, Hemodynamic monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS)/Rapid Response Team, Post Cardiac catheterization, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Administration of blood & blood products, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line management, TPN/Lipids, Pediatric Step Down, Insulin administration, IV Insulin Pumps, Management of gastric tubes, NG tube insertion/ management, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Antiarrhythmics, Anti-Seizure Medications, Management of Chest Tubes, Tracheostomy care, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Infection control/PPE.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: Aquapheresis, Phlebotomy.

Required Credentials: ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.

Special Requests: RTO: must be included with submission.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend Req.

7 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
