Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - James Cancer Hospital and Research.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, IV START, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs. Respiratory, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Tracheostomy care/management, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Oncology experience.
• Preferred Skills: Telemetry Oncology, Administration of chemotherapy.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Shift & Scheduling: Days/Nights or Nights - If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirements: To other MedSurg Oncology units.

Other Requirements:

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Details:

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days
