Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Cannot guarantee block scheduling; the unit will do its best to accommodate block scheduling but cannot fully guarantee it.
Required Skills/Experience: - Must have experience with drips.
Unit Details: - Nurse:patient ratios: Day/Eve 1:4-5; Noc 1:6; possibly 1:7 if working short. - Patient population includes oncology/hematology, general medical, GI bleed, PE/DVT, sepsis, CHF/COPD, pneumonia, failure to thrive, and weakness. - No oncology or chemotherapy knowledge required; internal nurses meet treatment needs. - RNs titrate insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, and octreotide drips, and manage blood transfusions as needed. - Centralized tele techs monitor and read strips; nurses are not required to read their own strips. Monitors are available on the unit for basic rhythm viewing, and RNs are expected to be tele aware. - Charge nurse and house supervisor are on all shifts. Charge nurse carries a modified assignment (Days 1:2-3, Nights 1:4). Travelers may be asked to step into charge if they are comfortable, especially on night shift. - RT is in house 24/7 across multiple units; patients may require continuous CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow O2.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). - Holiday requirement: 2/3 for winters, every other during other times. - No call. - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Floating Requirements: - First to float within med-surg units; out of med-surg only for observer need or helping hands/tasking. Floating is done in 4-hour increments.
14 days maximum time off
