DEFENSIVE CYBERSPACE OPERATIONS (DCO) PLANNER WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

Tyto Athene is hiring a Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) Planner to support the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) Intelligence and Cyber Defense Enterprise Services (SPICES) Contract. Responsibilities: * Integrate with Combined Force Space Component Command (CFSCC) to coordinate space operational-level planning, integration, and coordination to ensure unity of effort across space missions. * Support development of cyberspace security and DCO strategies and plans, communicate to leadership, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders. * Coordinate with space operations planners to translate guidance and objectives into integrated space campaign plans; deliver joint space and cyber effects. * Assess cyberspace events impacting space missions and coordinate response actions to mitigate interruptions. * Provide DCO awareness and advocacy for inclusion within design, development, and implementation of future systems. * Track, document, and advocate for proper and timely equipping, training, and other related DCO support required. * Collaborate with Space System Program Offices (SPOs) to prioritize vulnerability patching and mitigation informed by impact, threats, and likelihood of exploitation. * Assist in the development of subordinate orders to facilitate the increased capability of the DCO teams. * Recommend and help improve/streamline/repair existing processes and implementation procedures. * Coordinate across the cyber and space operational units to develop common understanding and roadmap towards effective continuous monitoring and tailored capabilities. * Assist units by coordinating with USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM, USSF, 616 OC (AFCYBER), and subordinate units to clarify, deconflict, and track incidents, initiatives, and tasks required in conducting cyberspace operations on space mission systems and USSF portions of the Air Force Information Network (AFIN). * Assist the customer by supporting routine and emergency Cyberspace Protection Team (CPT) requests. * Participate in SpOC Operational Planning Team actions as required. * Provide strategic theories, methodologies, and direction to customer in support of Tier 2 Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) activities for space mission systems. * Coordinate with SPOs and Project Management Offices (PMOs) to ensure network and system cyberspace defense elements are identified, tracked, and resolved. * Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members. * Prepare and present briefings, reports, informational analyses in support of USSF and SpOC. * Perform records management of sustainment related deliverables and documentation. * Participate in customer exercises, after duty hours may be required. * Ensure adherence to Government policies, master plans and schedules, and develop solutions to program problems. * Accomplish all other tasks as assigned by the Prime Contractor leadership or Government personnel. Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI Security Clearance * 4 years of experience in an Air Force Communications Squadron (or sister service equivalent), USCYBERCOM, AFCYBER, 616 OC or industry cybersecurity. * Security+ certification (desired) Required: * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; write comprehensive studies; and maintain good working relationships. * Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; message distribution/retrieval programs; and Analyst Notebook. * Space Operations experience desired Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever Air Force Base) Salary: $75,000-$120,000 In compliance with Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Tyto Athene, LLC has noted the salary information as a general guideline only.
