FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Rotating

Pay: $33.82 - $50.73 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:
Provides comprehensive intraoperative neuro-monitoring (IONM) during complex surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Elects optimal testing protocols to monitor the functional integrity of the neurological structures at risk appropriate to the surgical procedure being performed. May perform other testing outside of surgical procedures.
  • Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
  • Continuously monitors and alerts attending physician/surgeon of any critical changes.
  • Follows American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) guidelines related to Interoperative Monitoring (IOM).
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.


Requirements:

  • Associate's degree, or graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program.
  • Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) through American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET).
  • Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) experience in spine, intracranial, cardio-thoracic and peripheral nerve surgeries.
  • Preferred: clinical neurophysiology experience.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
