UF Health Shands Rehab Services is dedicated to providing excellent patient care to individuals throughout north central Florida. Through comprehensive rehabilitation programs, we hope to create a safe and comfortable environment that empowers individuals to manage their care independently, return to a functional lifestyle and improve their quality of life. We are dedicated to treating our patients with compassion, creativity, respect and confidentiality. Our rehab centers accomplish this with close working relationships between our referring physicians, therapists, support staff, University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions and the University of Florida Athletics Program. Our therapists provide rehabilitation services and education to patients. We offer continuing education, journal clubs, staff mentoring and the ability to be involved with student clinical education and our UF Health accredited residency programs in Sports and Orthopedics.

The UF Health Rehab Center Medical Plaza is a multidisciplinary center providing occupational, physical and massage therapy services, specializing in oncology, lymphedema and cardiopulmonary conditions. We also provide services for the general orthopedic and rheumatologic conditions. We are integrated with specialty physician clinics and ancillary services to provide comprehensive care.Our therapistsprovide an interdisciplinary approach and collaborate in research and education leading to improved care and quality of life for all of the patients being seen.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved school of massage required and and/or certified by appropriate national professional organization(s)
• Two years previous clinical experience preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of massage therapy services and settings, in particular therapeutic massage and myofascial techniques

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Florida
