Overview

Works in a dynamic, collaborative accredited Congenital Pediatric Echo Lab, using advanced ultrasound equipment. Services both inpatients and outpatients on the hospital campus and may service outpatients at our satellite clinics. Performs transthoracic echocardiograms on complex congenital heart disease and some non-congenital heart disease on both pediatric and adult patient populations. Performs complex fetal congenital transthoracic echocardiograms. Ensures detailed findings are written on preliminary reports, data is accurately entered, and critical findings are reported in a timely manner. Serves as a preceptor for new hires, fellows and students as needed.


Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Completion of an accredited echocardiography, ultrasound or cardiopulmonary technology program (AS equivalent). Obtainment of cardiac registration within one year of hire. Obtainment of cardiac congenital registration within two to three years of hire. Obtainment of fetal echocardiogram registration within one year of completing on the job training in fetal TTE.
