We are a nonprofit mental health agency providing social rehabilitation and Medi-Cal services to adults with co-occurring serious mental health and substance use disorders. With multiple sites and an operating budget of $14.5 million, our 16-bed residential program is located in a recently renovated Victorian home, offering a warm and therapeutic environment focused on patient care, recovery, and wellness.

Position Summary:

As the Residential Clinical Manager, you will serve as the senior clinician for our 16-bed residential treatment program, providing leadership, mentorship, and clinical supervision to a dedicated team of staff. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary clinical team, coordinating therapeutic interventions and groups in alignment with harm reduction, trauma-informed, and strength-based modalities.
  • Provide mentorship, clinical supervision, and support to junior staff, promoting growth and high standards of care.
  • Oversee clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with Medi-Cal, contract, and licensing requirements.
  • Develop and facilitate a range of direct service groups and activities tailored to patient needs in a residential setting.
  • Manage referrals and intakes, ensuring a high occupancy rate and that all new residents meet the program's clinical criteria.
  • Provide crisis management support as needed and share on-call responsibilities with other management staff.
  • Oversee medication management and ensure proper practices are in place for patient safety and wellness.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders and external providers to ensure comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Clinician: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD with an advanced degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of clinical and supervisory experience in mental health and substance use recovery programs.
  • Commitment to Harm Reduction: Strong belief in patient-centered care, harm reduction practices, and a judgment-free therapeutic approach.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in de-escalation and crisis intervention in residential or clinical settings.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: A demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a clinical team while maintaining a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and ensure high standards of documentation and reporting.
